Money For Nothing, Kicks For Free

Well, its been a while since I've blogged.

Been working on a new book based on my experiences here in the land of Potatoes, otherwise known as Idaho Falls.

I have to be honest, I have mixed feelings about this place.

Sometimes I hate it.

Other times I really hate it.

But unlike everything else, I do listen to those feelings.

Finally.

I have been banging my head trying to find a way to fit in here, in this land of cult like religion, cookie cutter possessions, obsessions with outward appearance and neglect of true self awareness and appreciation.

No, this is not LA.

It's Idaho.

I had a good job in the city, working for he man every night and day, until I was fired for not being "warm" or "compassionate."

Those words dance around in my head and swirl around behind my eyes every time I close them to go to sleep.

Not warm or compassionate?

Me?

They must have not read my books.

And then it hit me.

Of course they haven't.

They don't know me here.

Not really.  I had one book signing at Barnes & Noble and another dismal showing at a woman's event.

And the only way for them TO get to know me, is to share myself with them like I did on the east coast.

It was truly a V-8 moment.

Of course that's not the real reason.  The real reason is the place is going broke and couldn't afford to pay me.

So why not just be honest?

Anyway.

It has finally gotten through my thick head that this is what I was made to do.

Tell stories and make people laugh, cry and think.

To do it with warmth, and compassion.

Just like always.

Those idiots can kiss my ass.

So stay tuned and thanks, as always, for your support.

I won't stray again.
