THIS IS WHERE I LIVE

My byline for the paper is aptly named "Stories From the Lake."

Once a week, I sit and write a thought or two about the place where I am in my life, both figuratively and literally.

Pultneyville is a small hamlet in the town of Williamson, north of everywhere and east of someplace. It is idyllic and has served as the backdrop for one of my novels, "The Tear Jar." Our backyard is Lake Ontario, the Great Lake and the best, in my world anyway.

But the most beautiful thing about the lake is that it mirrors the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Time stands still for me when I make the sunrise, and I appreciate all that I have been blessed with when I witness the sunset.

I hope that I am able to see them for a very long time.
